About Active Vent
We make a new, patent-pending kind of vent that uses the wind to move air both in and out of a single unit, designed to help reduce damp and condensation without using any electricity.
Our Story
Our story began with a simple observation: traditional weep vents were failing to protect buildings from moisture damage. Through research and development, we applied wind-powered suction to the humble weep vent. When air flows across our specially shaped vents, it creates a pulling force designed to draw moist air out of wall cavities, turning a passive hole into an active vent. With no wind it works like a standard vent; once the wind picks up, it ventilates actively.
What began as an innovative solution to a common problem has grown into a Swansea-based business dedicated to helping protect buildings and the people who live in them from the effects of trapped moisture.
Our Mission
We're on a mission to help reduce damp and condensation with wind-powered technology that needs no electricity to run.

Drier Homes
We design our vents to help reduce the trapped moisture that can lead to condensation, mould and mildew. Damp has several causes, such as leaks and plumbing faults, and some of them ventilation can't fix.
No Electricity to Run
Our vents are powered by the wind, so they need no electricity to run. They are made locally in Cardiff, about 30 minutes from Swansea, which keeps transport miles low, and there is a 100% recycled polypropylene colour option.
Patent-Pending Innovation
Our Active Vent design is patent pending. It applies the Venturi effect to draw moist air actively out of wall cavities.
The design represents years of research, development and our own testing. As an active, wind-powered vent it is a different category from one-way passive vents.

Each vent goes through quality control checks before being shipped to customers or distributors. Once fitted, inspect periodically; the removable insert makes it quick to check and clear.
