One idea, applied across the whole building: keep the air moving.
The Active Vent range brings wind-powered cross-ventilation to the places damp starts — from the base of a cavity wall to the window. Passive, silent and always on, with a patented removable insert that keeps cavities clear and inspectable. Here is what we make today, and what is coming next.
Three products, one principle
Every product uses the wind to move air where it matters. Choose by where you need to stop damp taking hold.
Active Weep Vent
The wind-powered weep vent for cavity walls — with a patented removable, inspectable insert that keeps the cavity clear.
- › Provides continuous, wind-powered airflow at the base of the cavity
- › Patented removable insert lets the cavity be inspected and cleared of debris
- › Directly tackles the blocked-weep-hole and cavity-debris failures BRE identified as leading causes of damp
Active Trickle Vent
A window background ventilator — a recognised "background ventilator" category under Part F of the Building Regulations for continuous room ventilation.
- › Provides Part F background/room ventilation at the window
- › Recognised as a "background ventilator" under Approved Document F
- › Part of a whole-home approach to keeping moist indoor air moving
Brick vents & more
We are extending the same fail-safe, wind-powered airflow across more of the building — brick vents and further products to follow.
- › In development — not yet available to buy
- › Designed to apply the same wind-powered cross-ventilation principle
- › Register your interest and we will let you know when it launches
Wind-powered, patent-protected, fail-safe
Conventional ventilation relies on someone leaving a door open, a fan switched on or a vent unblocked. The Active Vent range is built so the airflow simply happens.
Wind-powered, continuous airflow
Each vent uses the wind to drive a steady through-flow — passive, silent, non-mechanical, with no running costs and always on. There is nothing to switch on and nothing to remember.
Patented removable insert
The insert lifts out so the cavity can be inspected and cleared — keeping cavities clear and inspectable, and tackling the blocked weep holes and debris that trap water against the inner wall.
Fail-safe by design
Because each unit runs its own inlet-and-exhaust cycle wherever it is fitted, it does not rely on an open door, an unblocked route or anyone switching anything on. It is the world's first, patent-protected wind-powered cross-ventilating vent.
"The world's first, patent-protected wind-powered cross-ventilating vent" — passive, silent, non-mechanical, with no running costs and always on.
How cross-ventilation stops damp
Where cavity-wall moisture really comes from, how trapped humid air migrates back into your home, and why airflow — not sealing — is the fix.
