The Active Trickle Vent uses the power of the wind to do both from a single unit: fresh air in, humid air out — genuine cross-ventilation, without the heat loss of an open window.
Most vents only let air in. This one moves it through.
Removing humidity needs an inlet and an outlet. That is what makes the Active Trickle Vent different from an ordinary background vent.

A recognised background ventilator under Part F
UK Building Regulations require dwellings to have background ventilators so that moist indoor air is continuously replaced. The Active Trickle Vent fits that background-ventilation role at the window — and because it actively cross-ventilates, it keeps air moving rather than waiting for a draught.
It complements the Active Weep Vent, which ventilates the wall cavity: one keeps the rooms breathing, the other keeps the cavity dry.
